My top 100 Best iPod songs you must download

I got the Apple Iphone a couple of months ago – it is pretty damn impressive, it comes with an 8GB iPod as well as a host of other brilliant features – including an easy to use web browser and e-mail, great for checking messages when stuck in traffic!

Scroll down page for the Top 100 Songs.

Apple iPhone - Top 100 Songs for iPod

When it came to filling up the 8GB iPod with music I was surprised how few lists of music to put on iPod were listed on the internet – I searched for “Top 10 iPod Songs”, “Top 50 iPod Songs” and “Top 100 iPod Songs”, I even looked for “1000 Best iPod Songs” and there was nothing of any real value, so as a gesture of goodwill to the iPod and music community in general I have listed the top 100 songs on my ipod.

  1. you DID have 2 radiohead songs up there so i give you an online applause….cheerio! and comfortably numb also made it (great vid by the way). Im getting more into Feeder as i listen to Pandora, although im not crazy at all about Nickelback..eh to each his own, right?

  2. Patti says:

Loved your whole list, except #5, which is an incredible song, but is NOT called “Teenage Wasteland”!! It’s called “Baba O’Reily”, and around here if you call it “Teenage Wasteland” while requesting it on a radio station, they make a fool out of you on the air. Otherwise, awesome choices

  3. I like your taste for the most part… Foo Fighters are good but they definitely wouldn’t be #1 on my list. I also like to see Massive Attack high up there, that’s a great song.

  4. kieran says:

Great list ;) just found it while trying to find music for my phone, your right there is no decent lists. Thanks.

  5. I like Hey Jude best. Every time I hear this song,I feel relaxed.

  7. Rach says:

Great taste in music! I’m downloading like 50 of them. Lol. One thing though. You put Teenage Wasteland by The Who, but its actually called Baba O’riley. Just thought I’d let people know in case they were trying to find it :)

  8. hey, such a long list of hits. appreciate it. thanks

  9. Esther says:

No such song. It called Baba O’Riley.

Sorry, that’s one of my pet peeves.

  21. Carz says:

Any Bob Dylan song should be the number one. ‘Nuff said.

  22. jake says:

  24. “82 – Bartender and the Thief – Stereophonics”

my, my, why’s this only on no. 82.. luv these songs and your list, pretty cool.

  25. Billy Morris says:

I appreciate that a lot of people will like the music on this list because there are many big hits on it and they didn’t become big hits for no reason.
But our tastes in music differ – a lot.
The Foo Fighters are good, and there are a few other good songs and bands here, but not many of these would make my top 500 let alone 100.
For starters (and I’m going to get slated for this), I really don’t like the Beatles, just because their songs can be easily turned into football chants doesn’t make them good.
I prefer a more laid back or melancholic kind of music, and if anyone feels the same way as I do I would recommend for your iPod some Bon Iver, Paolo Nutini, Neil Young, you’ve got to have some Frank Sinatra on there, some Michael Buble, The Temper Trap, and for those of you looking for something a bit different, look into Passion Pit and Hot Chip.
Also, if you like melancholic music, have a listen to some of the stuff that Robert Pattinson sings, he’s really good (in my opinion).
Sorry to piss all over your list mate, but in case people weren’t satisfied I thought I might as well chip in with a few other suggestions.

  26. Nice listing!!

I have download all the song.thanks

  27. Beanz says:

Plenty of phonics, snow patrol and foo fighters songs make this list one of my favs and most of the music is on my iPhone.

  28. Aidan says:

Not a bad range of songs. I think the hilltop hoods should make it in somewere. Also maybe some weird al and Tracy chapman. Hilltop Hoods are awsome!

  31. Heather says:

Aw man, how could I forget about “Celebrity Skin”? But you totally forgot about Kevin Rudolf’s awesome song “Let it Rock.” It has way more energy than Kanye’s “stronger.” Also, Radiohead’s “Creep” is great for moping over lost love, as well as Carolina Liar’s “I’m not Over.”

  32. V.J. says:

Nice list, but i have some suggestions, Such as Dragon force songs, owl city songs, and stuff like that might help make it a better list.

  33. Wow, I really thanks to you because this is fantastic job man. your songs selection is very nice and thanks a lots for give me this songs download link.

  34. Asmaa Faris says:

Why oh why isn’t SIA or Imogen Heap on this list?
    Or Nine Inch Nails?
These three artists should definately be here!

    I would recommend
Sia: – Breathe Me, I go to sleep, Day too soon, Distractions (with Zero 7), Don’t bring me down
Imogen Heap: – Hide and Seek, Speeding Cars, Canvas
Nine Inch Nails: Just like you imagined, Everyday is exactly the same, Hurt

  35. Tim says:

Just found this list.. I approve dude good choices all round

  36. Billy says:

  38. bianca says:

  39. 14 says:

Whole Lotta Love is my favorite song of all night. I bow to you for putting this list on here, because you’re right, there are no good lists, except for this one, and the lack of lists sucks.

  40. Ash says:

Teenage Wasteland is actually Baba O’Riley

  41. Cory says:

Any self respecting ipod top100 list should not include nickelback…
