Momma Cherri’s Soul Shack – Soul in a Bowl in Brighton

Monday, October 6th, 2008

I spent the last weekend in Brighton and had the pleasure of eating at Momma Cherri’s Soul Shack, which was made famous when it appeared on the Gordon Ramsey show, Kitchen Nightmares.

When Gordon Ramsey visited Momma Cherri’s Soul Shack he said it was some of the best food he had ever tasted and I have to say after eating at the Soul Shack, I totally agree with him.

I took a holiday to Jamaica a few years ago, but thankfully I was never offered this!

Why don’t indian restaurants have websites?

Monday, October 8th, 2007

I went out for a really nice meal yesterday with all the family to my local indian restaurant, the Spice of India in Ash.

Now normally I would have linked to the Spice of India’s website, but like many indian restaurants they don’t have one.

People are always asking me for business ideas, so here you are…let’s see a budding person with their head screwed on set this up as a niche market – website packages for indian restaurants.

I find it so strange that so few indian restaurants have websites, I am sure if they were presented with an ‘indian restaurant website package’ it would be so easy to sell.

Some restaurant owners appear to have a fear of the web and probably don’t understand the power and reach it has, presenting the facts in an easy to understand, packaged fashion would make all the difference.

As I like the Spice of India in Ash so much I am going to get this article to appear on page one of Google, so anyone searching for them can not only get their contact details but also see that they get my thumbs up (if the proprietor reads it, then I look forward to my free meal…)

Has your local curry house got a website? I bet they don’t…

If it has let me know, I might compile a top 10 curry house and indian restaurant websites.

Here are the contact details if you are looking for the Spice of India in Ash.

Spice of India, 2 Wharf Road, Ash, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU12 5AZ
